This past week I've been going through a baking frenzy. I have those every so often. There is a week or so when all I want to do is bake, bake, and bake some more. This week I was really into baking various breads. Chris and Caleb love home baked bread so much that whenever I make a couple of loaves they are gone in just a few days and they are asking for more. I finally decided to have a baking day and just bake lots of bread and freeze it. That was on Thursday. I actually planned this baking frenzy. Here are a couple of the loaves I baked alongside a book I've been borrowing from a friend.
On Friday, I baked a couple of loaves of absolutely yummy banana bread. (I didn't think to take a picture of those). Finally, yesterday I tried my baking skills at homemade bagels. They are turned out better than last time but I still have a ways to go on these. I just can't seem to make them smooth and plump. Here's a picture of those. Half of them are plain and the other half is cinnamon-sugar.
I am so glad that I tackled all this baking because now we have a freezer full of yummy baked goods and I won't have to bake for a long time. Hopefully, we'll have more room in our freezer when I get hit with another baking frenzy.
